Nursing Services

South Roanoke has two units each staffed twenty-four hours a day by Charge Nurses, Medication Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The licensed professional nurses dispense medications and treatments ordered by the physician. Our trained staff works closely with each resident and the physician to meet the needs of each individual.

Certified Nursing Assistants are an integral part of the care team. They are licensed to provide personal care for each resident. Our CNA’s have permanent assignments offering a more comfortable, secure environment for the resident.

Rehabilitation Services

Our Physical Therapist develops individual programs for each resident depending on their capabilities and needs. The goal is for each resident to reach their maximum potential and improve overall condition. Occupational and Speech therapies are also available, as well as nursing rehabilitation.

Dietary Services

Proper nutrition plays an important role in the overall health and well being of each resident. A Registered Dietitian evaluates, on a regular basis, the nutritional needs for each resident.

A select menu program allows the resident to make a choice for lunch and supper.

South Roanoke has a lovely, inviting dining room where residents can enjoy their meals. The residents call it “The Chatters Lounge”, a place to socialize and share a meal together.
