We specialize in recovery. Our Registered Therapy staff
work closely with you and your physician to develop the strength
and skills you need to function at your highest potential.
We provide Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational
Therapy, and specialized nursing services.
Physical Therapy provides exercise and treatment to strengthen
and assist patients who may have had joint replacement or loss
of some function. Physical Therapy can also reduce pain and discomfort
from arthritis and other concerns.
Speech Therapy works with a resident to regain lost abilities,
such as speech difficulties, swallowing, and feeding problems.
Occupational Therapy supports residents with the activities
of daily living. After a stroke or other aging problems, dressing,
shaving, bathing and toileting can become monumental tasks. Occupational
therapists provide instruction and adaptive devices that aid
in overcoming these difficulties. The ability to maintain normal
function is always our first goal.
A Registered Dietitian also provides Medical Nutrition Therapy
for each resident, as proper nutrition is vital in maintaining
good health.
All of our rehabilitative services assist our residents to promote
a healthy well-being. Most often, all of these therapies work
together, as a team, to support our residents in living life
to the fullest at South Roanoke Nursing Home.
Our therapists are loving, caring people with family and friends
just like yours.
